The parts you should collect are a high rpm DC motor, Geared DC motor, TP4056 module, switch, ball bearing, plastic gears, Li-Ion battery, hot glue gun, ice cream stick, stationery knife, etc. Some of these items may be replaced by some others, but they are the essential components. You can order these parts online or buy them from your nearby local stores. As these items are prevalent, that should not be any problem.

Step 3: Prepare the Rear Axle and the Base

Cut the cardboard to a shorter form to make the process easier. Now, based on the car model you want to make, cut the base. The more precise you are in this step, the better will your remote control car look. Now, cut a wooden stick. It will vary according to the cardboard you cut. Then, mark three points on the stick. Fix your gear at the middle point. Use super glue to seal it. And for the other two points, fix ball bearings and apply super glue to secure them.

Step 4: Making the Steering Wheel

Cut several circular parts from the cardboard. Join them together with the help of the superglue and make a stack. Make a hole at its center with a toothpick. Now place this structure at the car bases’ nose. Bend a steel wire, which you will find in wall calendars, at 90 degrees with an inch left from the edge. Cut some ice cream stick pieces and assemble them as shown. The steering mechanism is complete now.

Step 5: Make Wheels

You can make wheels from the cardboard as well. At first, draw wheels on the cardboard, along with its spikes, according to your desired diameter. Now, multiple these pieces and stack them together to make a perfectly thick wheel. Put the bearing at its center. Leave two wheels without bearing, while the other two should have bearings. Now attach these wheels to the car and secure it with glue.

Step 6: Make It Electronic

Now, as the essential resembling components of the remote control car are made, it is time you included the electronic parts. Take the geared DC motor and attach it to the steering mechanism. Then test the motor to check whether it works perfectly.
